St. Joseph Healthcare, located in the Bangor, Maine, has a full time opening in our Operating Room Department for an experienced Operating Room Supervisor.

Under the direction of the Director of Intra-Operative Services, the Operating Room Supervisor coordinates the day to day clinical operations of the unit and oversees patient care functions as approved by the State of Maine Board of Nursing and St. Joseph Hospital policies and procedures.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred, however, not required.
A minimum of 3 years' OR experience with OR managerial experience required
BLS, ACLS, IV certification required
MOAB encouraged (training provided, if necessary)
CNOR upon hire or eligible
Other Skills Required:
Comply with all company, DNV, local, state, and federal regulations
Adhere to facility confidentiality, HIPAA, and patient rights policies. Assist in achieving stated patient and customer satisfaction goals, and mission initiatives of the organization
Participates and engages in team meetings, team building activities, and other opportunities to strengthen the OR department
Executes project-related tasks
Participates in the orientation of new team members
Works conscientiously to minimize cost and time requirements in all areas of the OR
Acts as backup if necessary
Strong attention to detail, clear and effective communicator
Ability to follow up and keep initiatives on task
Supports and promotes the mission and values of Covenant Health and the Catholic Health Ministry
